Resumption of visa applications
Starting from the 1st of July 2021, AUSTRIA visa application centers in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai will open again for visa applications.
Regulations for travel and entry into Austria by air/ on land as per 1st of July 2021
The United Arab Emirates falls under the category of other states and territories.
Persons who have a vaccination certificate (showing a vaccination listed in Appendix C – BioNTech / Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Sinopharm, or Sinovac), showing that 14 days have passed since the full immunization of the required vaccination dose, can enter Austria without pre-registration and without undergoing quarantine.
Persons who CANNOT show the above-mentioned vaccination certificate upon entry into Austria, need to undergo a 10 days quarantine (a test can be carried out on day 5th after arrival; if the test result is negative, the quarantine can be ended). Registration (Pre-Travel-Clearance) is necessary and proof of a low epidemiological risk must be provided upon entry.

Information on leaving the UAE can be found on the website of Dubai Airports and Abu Dhabi Airport. Therefore, please also note the mentioned entry regulations to Austria.
